Our Food Program Network

Food Bank For New York City works in partnership with approximately 1,000 community-based member programs throughout the five boroughs to help get food to New Yorkers at risk of going hungry. Our network of programs includes food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers, low-income daycare centers, after-school and summer programs, Open Market BackPack Programs, rehabilitation centers, shelters and youth services.

Our member programs work in partnership with Food Bank to help provide nutritious and balanced meals and groceries to New Yorkers at risk of hunger — the majority of whom are women, children, seniors, the working poor, and people with disabilities.

Food Bank offers a wide range of services and resources to help member programs better serve their clients, emphasizing a continuum of services geared toward capacity building and making connections with available resources, including:

  • Model Programs including the Open Market BackPack, Free Income Tax Services and food stamp programs
  • Grant Administration
  • Educational Workshops
  • Site Monitoring including technical assistance
  • Customer Service
  • Online Agency Intranet, including online ordering, tools and resources
  • Volunteer Referral

Learn more about the above services. You can search for soup kitchens, food pantries and senior centers in your neighborhood using our Food Program Locator.
